Product description
This coffee is a balanced blend of Brazilian (45%), Ethiopian (45%), and Colombian (10%) coffees, crafted into a versatile espresso roast that shines both with and without milk. A smooth milk chocolate and toasted hazelnut base from Brazil supports vibrant red apple and berry notes from Ethiopia, while the Colombian component adds sweetness, body and brings all three components together. In milk, the cup is rich and comforting, while as an espresso or long black it reveals lively fruit, smooth chocolate, and a lingering finish.
The Brazilian component comes from the Familia Afonso farms in the Mantiqueira de Minas region, an area celebrated for its fertile soils, high elevations, and ideal coffee-growing climate. Managed by Sebastião and Helisson Afonso da Silva, the family farms Sítio Baixadão and Sítio São Sebastião with a strong focus on environmental care and selective hand harvesting. Coffees are sun-dried on patios before finishing in dryers to ensure consistency and clarity in the cup. Their commitment to quality has earned them international recognition, including Cup of Excellence accolades, and reflects a legacy built on respect for both tradition and innovation.
From Ethiopia, the Guji Hambela natural is sourced from smallholders delivering to the Gizaw Washing Station. Each farmer tends small plots, allowing organic practices such as composting and natural ground cover to support a healthy ecosystem. Families carefully handpick ripe cherries over multiple passes, ensuring only mature fruit is harvested. At the washing station, the cherries are processed with precision and dried on raised beds, highlighting the region’s expressive fruit character and floral complexity.
The Colombian portion is sourced from the Tatama National Natural Park region in Risaralda, part of Colombia’s UNESCO-listed Coffee Cultural Landscape. This protected environment, rich in biodiversity, supports coffees with exceptional sweetness and depth. Advances in natural processing techniques have allowed producers to safely dry cherries and unlock greater body and vibrant red fruit flavours, adding an extra layer of richness and complexity to this blend.
These coffees have been selected for their shared commitment to quality, sustainability, and respect for their environments and communities. Together, they create a blend that is expressive, comforting, and consistently enjoyable across all brew styles.
